Hi I'm Micah Alma

I'm from Provo, Utah and lived in East Stroudsburg, PA. I love science, running, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from high school where I was rank 6 in my class. I have greatly enjoyed science, math, and music in school, where I competed in many academic competitions, such as Science Olympiad, PJAS, Reading Olympics, Envirothon, and PMEA music festivals. I also have run track and cross country. After I serve my mission in Trujillo Peru, I plan on attending college for Astrophysics, Chemistry, and Music.

Why I am a Mormon

Though many people might think that I would only be Mormon because my parents were, that's not really why I have stayed in the church and followed the Lord's commandments. I have seen how the Lord has blessed my family, despite our difficult circumstances, and that by following the teachings of the church my burdens have been easier to bear. I know that the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Jesus Christ died for my sins, afflictions, and burdens, and that through that Atonement, I can repent. I know that through repentance, my sins can be forgiven and I can thus live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that families can be together throughout eternity thanks to the blessings of sealing in the temple.

How I live my faith

I actually directed the choir in my ward at the age of 17 for about 6 months. This blessing helped me further develop my talents in that area, and also share them with the members of my congregation. I also go hometeaching (when males age 14+ visit families within the congregation and make sure their needs, spiritual and temporal, are met) with members from my ward and family.
