Hi I'm Jacob Martin

I am from a family of 7 and I live in Clearfield, Utah. I enjoy sports, I am a missionary!

About Me

I am a LDS missionary serving in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. I am 19 years old and I love to share the Gospel with the people of the South. I come from a yours-mine-and ours family. I have 4 siblings. Three brothers, and a sister. I like to spend time with my family and friends. After my mission I will be going to Weber State University to get a degree in Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but throughout High school I really wanted to know if the things I taught were true. When I prayed there was no doubt in my mind that the things I have been taught my whole life are true. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and the church gives me the oppurtunity to share those beliefs with many people who are in need.

How I live my faith

My calling as a missionary allows me to talk to people everday about the Restoration of Christ's church. I share the gospel by bearing my testimony each and every oppurtunity I get. I love to show my love to my brothers and sisters by doing things as Christ himself would do. I love to talk to and help out as many people I can. Regardless, of who they are or what walk of life they come from. From an early age I was taught to serve everyone. My favorite memories as a kid are the times I would help out neighbors with things they needed done. Service is really important to me!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jacob Martin
We are invited by many different ways to find out for ourselves. The most common way is to talk with Heavenly Father. We can have conversations with our Heavenly Father through prayer. A scripture I love is in The Book of Mormon. Moroni 10:3-5. God wants to answer our questions so all we need to do is ask. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Jacob Martin
Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It testifies of the divinitey of Christ just like the Bible. The only difference of the Bible and The Book of Mormon is where the story took place. It is a record of God's dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the American continent. Told from the prophets of those times. Show more Show less
