Hi I'm Brandon Navarro

I'm from Nampa, Idaho. I served a mission in the Philippines. I'm a student at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of four with one brother. I'm a college student at Brigham Young University studying business. I love basketball and play it as much as I can when I'm not busy with study. I also love music and enjoy playing the piano and trumpet. I love making new friends and talking to people.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I'm not a Mormon just because of friends or family or even the social environment that comes with the Church. I am a Mormon because of the witness I've received from the Holy Ghost that has confirmed to my heart that this is true. Because of that, I've been able to experience the power of Christ's sacrifice when he was on the earth. I've felt the peace that comes when a loved one is lost. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us while we are here on this earth that did not begin at our births and does not end at our deaths. The word of God has always been revealed by prophets and I'm so thankful for a living prophet that gives guidance and direction for us to live in these troubling times, yet continue to live as Jesus did. I will be forever grateful to God and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. I felt this joy extend beyond myself into the lives of so many others as I served as a full-time missionary for Him and continually strive to serve Him in my community. I was a first hand witness of the hand of God working in the lives of the people I had the privilege of working with as a missionary in the Philippines. I am a witness of the power it has for all people everywhere. I saw it in myself. I love the Lord and know that this is HIS RESTORED CHURCH. God lives and Jesus is the Christ. I know. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving every day to do what Christ did and be as He was and is. I try and share the joy and happiness that I've felt from God with others. I receive no greater satisfaction than teaching others about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeing them learn about Christ and follow His teachings. As a natural result, I grow in my own spirituality as well. Jesus taught, "love one another, as I have loved you" (John 13:34). I know that by striving to help others, we, in turn, come closer to the Savior as well. One thing very important to me as well is studying the word of God as found in ancient scripture as well as His word to us today. I know the Bible is the word of God and that the Book of Mormon is an additional witness that God lives and Jesus is the Christ. I also find peace and comfort knowing that God continues to speak to us today through a living prophet and modern revelation. The windows of heaven are open and I strive to study and live by the principles taught from God.
