Hi I'm Tilen

Hi! I live in Slovenia, in a very small country in the middle of Europe by Adriatic See. Pleas feel free to contact me!

About Me

I was born in Slovenia. I am 30 years old, married and expecting my first child. At University I studied physics and technology. Currently I am working for an Austrian company as a key account manager. I love traveling, different cultures, science, cycling and playing the guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

Once I got to know that truth I could not deny it.

How I live my faith

When I joined the church I was 16 years old. Church in my country was very small. Because we gathered with missionaries in a little apartment with only few members, they quickly found a position for me in leadership positions. Church started to grew and at the age of 20, I decided to serve a mission for two years. Soon after I came home I was asked to serve as a branch president (leading the church in my home town). Currently I am a first counselor in a district presidency (helping a district president leading the church in Slovenia). But after all, I am a very simple man just like every one else. After reading and hearing so many misconceptions about my church on the internet I decided to help people understand who we really are.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

You can not serve two masters. Ether you serve God or mammon (money). The church can be only true when their leaders are working for God and not for money (Mathew 6:24). No one should ever use Christ's name to earn money. I would call it abuse. This answer is for me very simple and give any religion to the test. As soon as some one is involving money with priesthood; selling it or purchasing it, the truth is immediately lost (Acts 8:20). Even worse would be to charge priesthood services. I can not imagine that Jesus Christ would ever charge money to those he blessed and to those he performed miracles. It goes completely against the doctrine of Christ: Matthew 10:8 "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give". Show more Show less
