Hi I'm Cole Parker

I'm 18 years old. I just recently graduated high school. I'm going to serve a mission in Sacramento, California starting in July.

About Me

I am the youngest of 3 children. I love my family very much and I am extremely close with them. I am a sports fanatic and baseball is my passion. I played it all throughout my childhood and teenage years and plan to play in college after my mission. I was one of the team captains on the Varsity on my high school team and also played competitively on select teams since the age of 7. In high school, I was one of the few Mormons in my school and the only boy in my grade. I am a very outgoing person and I enjoy talking about my faith and religion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on this earth. Through this church I have gained so much faith, knowledge and blessings that no other religion can offer me. I was born into this church but I still needed to figure out for myself if it was true or not. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to Heavenly Father and asked if the Book of Mormon was true and I received an answer that it was. Being a Mormon is not easy but it is worth. You gain so many things and are blessed in so many ways from it. I am grateful to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my example. Since I was one of few members in my high school, I had the opportunity to share with others why I do not do certain things like party, drink, smoke, etc and that led to many conversations and questions. I also live my faith by serving others. I often payed frequent visits to a widow each month. I was her home teacher but I still enjoyed her company and each time I visited I would do any jobs around the house that she needed to be done. I love serving others and it gives me a Christ-like feeling every time I do it.
