Hi I'm Erica

I grew up in Utah. I have a handsome husband and am the mom of two beautiful daughters. I'm a Dietitian. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of 2 daughters. I went to college and am a Registered Dietitian. I love cooking and baking. I also love eating and trying new foods and flavors. I enjoy running or I should say...I enjoy completing a run. I love being outside and spend most of my time playing with my girls. We love to go to the lake to fish and go four wheeling and play at the beach. I enjoy crafts and sewing but am working on improving my skills in those areas.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up not going to church but had several friends and extended family members who went to church. I knew there was something different about them. They would invite me to church. Sometimes I would go and sometimes I wouldn't. But they always invited me. I remember feeling happy when we would watch videos of Jesus when I was little or when I would hear the song "I am a child of God." I realize now that it was the Holy Ghost giving me those happy feelings. After my older sister decided to join the church I decided to look more into it and have the missionaries teach me the discussions. I enjoyed the discussions but it wasn't until we learned about Joseph Smith and when I prayed to know that he was a true prophet, that I knew He was a true prophet. Once I knew that from the confirmation of the Holy Ghost, everything else fell into place. I decided to be baptized because I knew that the church was true and I couldn't deny it. When I hear the testimonies of the modern prophet and his apostles, I know they are men of God and the things they teach are true and they are special witnesses of God.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church with the women's organization planning and preparing their monthly activities. I also oversee the women in the ward to make sure they watching over each other and meeting each others needs.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Erica
When my husband and I are focused on the Savior, we are closer to each other. We don't have as much contention and we have more patience with those around us. The principles of the gospel teach us to do those things that create a good relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Doing those things like praying to Him, reading our scriptures, and following his inspiration will make us happy in all of our relationships. Show more Show less
