Hi I'm Darren

I've only lived in Medina Ohio. I enjoy talking to people and am very outgoing. I'm more than proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived here in Medina my whole life. Never moved. My family owns a pizza shop and two self-serve ice cream shops. I love to work in them both. People say I am a hard worker, and I try my best to be that. I am an Eagle Scout. i achieved this at age 14. My younger brother also did this, which made me very proud. I have a younger brother and a younger sister. I love spending time with my family. I enjoy vacations in the woods or country inside a tent or camper rather than on a beach inside a hotel. People say I have an obsession. Some call it a hobby. Others say its my life. Well I call it my love for cars. i am a huge car person. i always talk about them and go to car shows with my cousin. for all you car people reading this my dream car is a Hennessy Venom GT. Only in my dreams... Anyway, I've been coming to church since i was 6 years old. i got sealed to my parents in the columbus temple when i was 6 or 7. the 5 member in my family are the only members in my entire family that we know of, except for a family who lives somewhere in canada.i will be the first person to serve a mission and i am very excited. i will be serving my mission in the Provo Utah Mission for two years. i love to go to church and cannot wait to find that perfect lady out there who will let me take her to the temple one day. i love to talk to people and would love to get to know you since you really took the time to read this whole thing. Proud to be a Latter Day Saint!

Why I am a Mormon

ever since i've started coming to church i have always felt something different. i have been to many church in the past, yet i feel nothing in comparison to what i feel at the LDS church. Sometimes people tell you certain things and you just know that they are true. that is how i felt about this church for a long time. i have always planned on serving a mission. i always read the Book of Mormon. yet i never really prayed about the Book of Mormon until i was 17 years old. i knew it was all true. i knew about many of the doctrines and ordinances we believe in. however, i never prayed about any of it. i just felt that is was true. one night i was with a bunch of friends. it was then that we decided to pray about the Book of Mormon to see if it was really true. after that prayer, there was not a single 17 year boy who was not in tears. now how often do you have twelve 17 year old boys praying about the Book of Mormon? this story of how i gained my testimony is a constant reminder that my Heavenly Father does watch out over His children and hear their prayers. this is why i am Mormon. He is there. He is listening. And He helps me in every situation i am in if i need it

How I live my faith

Both of my parents are converts. My parents joined when i was very young but went inactive. but when i was around 6 years old, they became reactivated and we were all sealed in the temple. i have grown up in the Church. ever since i was little i have wanted to serve a mission. i tell people that nothing will stop me from serving a mission. As a result, i strive my hardest to live my life in accordance with Gospel. No one is perfect, but this is where the Atonement comes in and helps us through everything that we can't handle. I have a very strong testimony of prayer. there have been numerous times when a situation rises in the pizza shop that i cannot fix. this is when i kneel down and pray. through situations like this and similar ones, i have gained a testimony of the Gospel in these latter days. i will not deny what i know to be true. i have many friends who ask about my mission. i tell them that i wouldn't spend the next two years of my serving a mission for my church if i wasn't sure if it was the true Church or not. i love to gives talks in church. i enjoy public speaking and i try to speak once a month with my Dad. when i with the youth, i served as the leader of my group, and acted as the leader of the whole youth body. we all had a blast. it was so much fun growing up with my friends around me, all of us having the same standards. we didn't have to lower them for any occasion. we always go places together and are a positive influence on each other. i love this church, and cannot wait to serve in as many callings as i can.
