Hi I'm Emma

I grew up in Vancouver, Washington. I'm a dreamer. I'm a writer. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Before I left on my mission I attended Brigham Young University - Idaho. I am an English major with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I am currently serving the Lord in the Massachusetts, Boston mission and it is one of the best decisions I could have ever made at this time in my life. So for right now, my interests are bringing the world the truthfulness of the gospel, and just making people happy by helping them realize that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them, and that Jesus Christ is there for them. I just want to make people as happy as I am. I do, however, enjoy reading (I'm an English major, so why wouldn't I enjoy books?), writing fictional stories, camping, spending time with my family and friends, listening and playing music, singing silly songs, and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life. I have not, been fully converted to the church my whole life. When we are little, I think we tend to lean on other people's knowledge rather than our own. It wasn't until I was in High School and I started reading the Book of Mormon for the first time that I really understood what this church was about, and that is to love others as Christ would and to try our best to become like Him. When it came time for my beliefs to be tested, I knew what I believed, and didn't give in to any temptations. Yes, sometimes it is hard, but being a member of this church is the best thing because it brings me happiness. It brings me happiness to know that I am not alone in this life, but that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are always there for me. Christ suffered for my sins, just as He did for yours so that we would not have to be alone. He suffers with me, morns with me, cries with me, laughs with me, and rejoices with me. He knows me, and I am coming to learn and become closer to Him as I follow Him. I know that God lives and that He loves all of His children. He has provided a way for us to return to Him, and through Christ, that is made possible. I love this gospel, and I love my Savior. They allow me to live a happy life.

How I live my faith

Like I said before, I am currently serving the Lord as a missionary in the Massachusetts, Boston mission. This just means that I invite people to come unto Christ, and help bring them closer to Him. I try to live as Jesus Christ would by being loving and kind to everyone that I meet. I follow Christ's teachings, by going to church, reading the Book of Mormon and Bible, following our Prophet's counsel and direction, and by simply becoming the best version of me that I can.
