Hi I'm Jacob Freeman Smith

I hail from Granite Bay, California. I live life. I enjoy swimming and water and saving lives at Folsom Lake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I love my friends. Mountain biking, playing the piano, and thinking are a few of my hobbies. I have been swimming since I was young, both recreationally and competitively. I enjoy employment at Folsom Lake as a Lifeguard. I am called to serve in the Guatemala Guatemala City Central Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this wonderful Church, but I have come to know that it is essentially a conduit to bring the Gospel to each of us individually. It is up to me to let it in and affect every aspect of my life. I do not just go to Church each Sunday, I live His Gospel. This is because I have a deep and abiding testimony of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This truth is what keeps me going. To know that He knows me perfectly and performed a perfect Atonement is overwhelming. I am a Mormon because living my faith makes me happy, plain and simple. It makes me happy to know that I have the opportunity to live with my family forever in the divine presence of our Heavenly Father. It makes me happy to know that we are here for a purpose and that there is a Plan of Salvation. I love His Church and live His Gospel.

How I live my faith

Living my faith essentially makes me strive daily to be a better human being. Christ has taken weaknesses of mine and turned them into strengths, but only through desire and daily action on my part. I try to fill each day with sincere supplication to our Heavenly Father and to read His Word through the scriptures. I do my best to make my will His will and to let the consequences follow.
