Hi I'm Bonnie

I was born and raised in the church, I live in California and am a mother of 6

About Me

I like to quilt and embroidery when I have time, have 7 grandchildren so far, like staying home and caring for my children and grandchildren and my 3 dogs

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church so alot of times in my youth I took things at face value, but as I got to my teens I started questioning varios things but it wasn't until I was married and had children of my own and was helping them learn the gospel that I started searching and learning on my own. The gospel really makes sense when you read and study and pray about it. The leaders don't get paid in their positions like other churches and is set up just as Jesus had his church set up when he was on earth. The priesthood is given to worthy men by the laying on of hands just as Jesus did, they don't go to school to earn their rights to the priesthood, like some other churches do. Then I read the book of mormon and Joseph's testimony, wow! The book of mormon isn't what people think, it is a history book of a people that were brought to the America's just as Jered and his family were after the Tower of Babel, these new people were called Nephites and Lamanites and they were told about Jesus and his coming to earth and his death and were given signs for both, they testify of Jesus just as the bible testifies of Jesus. Don't be afaid to read the Book of Mormon for yourselves and pray about it, you will see for yourself. I could never see myself in any other religion I enjoy the truthfulness of these scriptures and the power of priesthood as it has been a blessing in my life and the lives of my children.

How I live my faith

Right now I am involed with scouting, visiting teaching and a teacher on Sunday in the women's meeting. I like to read scriptures and asking questions to the missionaries when I am not understanding. I try to be available to help those who need it. I enjoy going to the temples.
