Hi I'm Harrison

I am a nerd who spends most of his days indoors. I am very quiet, but I still like to be with good friends. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge nerd. I like Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and things of a similar nature. But I mostly stick with Science Fiction. I am rather indoors-type person (partially because my sinuses hate me), so I spend a lot of time with electronics. Probably a little more than I should. Video games, movies, and surfing the internet are things I usually do in my spare time. I also like music, though I mostly listen to it for the most part. I played the Trumpet for all of Jr. High and High School, and even though I wasn't the greatest musician, I loved it! I am planning on studying engineering/technology when I go into college.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been in this church. I was born into a family who is extremely loyal to the Gospel and wanted me to know what they know. I went along with it at first, mostly because everyone expected it of me. I didn't really take it seriously and thought I could do whatever I wanted as long as I played the part of a good church boy every Sunday. But as I grew up and as more trials and responsibility came, I realized that the church wasn't just something you went to every Sunday; the Gospel of Christ is a way of life. And I am forever in the Savior's and our Heavenly Father's debt for all they've done for me. For the love they've given me unconditionally. Nowadays, I remain a Mormon not because everyone expects it of me, but because I want to be a good person. The LDS church has taught me how to overcome challenges, to believe in myself, to serve, to love, to forgive, and so many other things. I've had many of my prayers answered, and I've felt the holy spirit confirm to me that this is the restored Gospel of Christ on the Earth. I know that he lives, that he teaches us today through the Prophet Thomas S. Monson and all of the leaders in the Church. I know he loves me and all of the people on Earth. Heavenly Father and Christ have a plan and high hopes for all of us, and through them, we can do many great things.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am preparing to serve a mission in New Mexico. I will spend two years serving the Lord by teaching his children about the restored Gospel of Christ so they may have eternal life and everlasting happiness. In the meantime, I strive to be worthy to serve by living God's commandments. I read the scriptures, pray, fast, attend church, and listen to the teachings of the Lord's servants to accomplish.
