Hi I'm Megan Ward

I grew up in Elba Idaho on a horse ranch. I'm a hair stylist and love spending time with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho on a horse ranch. While growing up I was involved in horse 4-h, High school Rodeo, Basketball, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Some of my favorite memories are from activities we had as youth of the church. I spent summers working for my Dad and Uncle either building fence or working in a feedlot where I had to vaccinate cattle while my Uncle or his son-law would tag and implant them. I learned hard work and the joy that comes from working hard. I now have the joy of serving people here in Georgia as a missionary. I love the joy and peace that comes from serving others. I love being a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. Through the teachings of my parents and church leaders I gained my own testimony once I decided to read the Book of Mormon for myself. I have felt so much peace from reading it. I have received answers to questions that I didn't really understand before. I've seen the blessings come into my life from living the gospel standards as well as prayerful scripture study. I have been comforted through reading and studying as I have lost loved ones who are very dear to me. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world and I know that through him we can return to live with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith right now by being a missionary. I was called to serve in the Georgia Macon mission in November. I love teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ and why it is so important to me. I love bringing others closer to my Savior. I see the peace and joy they experience from learning about what Jesus Christ did for us. Serving others not only brings them joy, it also brings joy to myself and helps my faith grow. It helps me come closer to my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Megan Ward
In "The Family: A Proclamation to the World," it says that, "One of the core beliefs is that family relationships can last forever not just for this life. Just as some of life’s sweetest joys can come through family associations, the loss of a beloved family member can be a source of our deepest sorrows. But death does not need to be the end of our relationships with cherished loved ones. The Lord revealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith that the “same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there [in eternity], only it will be coupled with eternal glory” ( (Doctrine and Covenants 130:2,The Family: A Proclamation to the World) I am so grateful for eternal families. I know that one day I and all of my family will once again be reunited with those family members who have passed away. For that I am Thankful and know with all my heart it's true. Show more Show less
