Hi I'm Cullen Westbury

I like to laugh, jam to music, and eat food...all at the same time:) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life is too short to be stressing, so I try to fill my life with things that keep it away. I like to hang out with my friends and family, listen to music, eat food, and enjoy life. I think laughing can heal a lot of problems so I try fit it into the schedule every day. I am also a huge sports fan, especially football. I love this world, every season is probably my favorite season because of the awesome things that happen in each. Inspired by those who inspire others.

Why I am a Mormon

I can honestly say I would be scared of the person I would be without the Gospel in my life. What is so cool about this Church is that it is not anything new at all, it is just a restoration of ancient truths. I believe that Heavenly Father always has been, is now, and will be perfect in the future and I know that the fullness of the Gospel is the same way. The same truths that brought people peace and comfort thousands of years ago still do the same things today. Although it takes work, being a member of this Church has blessed my life forever. I am so grateful for the perspective that comes as I take time to honestly study the words of Christ and his apostles as well as other Prophets who have been called of God. It definitely took time for me to come to know that these things were true. For a long time I was scared of doubt but I realized that it is essential because it causes me to ask questions and find out that these things are true for myself. As cliche as it sounds, I feel peace like no other through the Gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the words of God given through Prophets because of the sweet Spirit that I feel as I ponder from them. I know that Jesus Christ lives and will forever be grateful that He was willing to go below all pain to save even just one of us.

How I live my faith

Just because every day is a struggle does not mean that every day has to be bad. There are a lot of times that I fail but I try to learn from it and move on. Every day of my life I try to remember the little things that have been such huge blessings. As I keep a bigger perspective on life it really helps me to get through the rough times because I know that there are still so many awesome things to come in the future. I try to live my faith through just being me whether I'm playing sports, hanging with friends, or just by myself. I'm way blessed in life and really want to share the things that I have come to know are true and that have changed my life so I will be serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Berlin, Germany mission.
