Hi I'm Alex

My name is Alex. i love playing my guitars and volunteering. i'm a mormon

About Me

i was born in Canada was was raised their for a few years. I use to be able to speak french but then i moved to the states with my family and lost the language because no one spoke french to me. I love to play my guitar. I really like playing blues and rock music. i self taught my self starting at 15 and I've been learning more and playing ever since. I'm also a roofer. My dad has his own roofing business. I've been roofing since i was 12 years old till i left on my mission at the age of 20. Doing such a hard job at an early age taught me good work ethics and with that taught me how to be charitable. I've met a lot of people who aren't fortunate enough to have a properly working body either because of age or they're handicapped in some way, so i feel it's my duty to volunteer and help those people because i don't ever want to take what i have for granted. Whether it's sharing my ability to fix things, teaching people the gospel of Jesus Christ, or just being there for someone in a time of need, I know that's it's so important to be there to help and assist those children of our Heavenly Father because He loves and cares for every one of them, and i want to follow in his footsteps.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because i know for a fact that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church that Jesus Christ established on the earth during his life on earth. The spirit has so strongly testified to me that the teachings and the Gospel are all true. The answers to questions i have had about religion can be answered with straight forwardness and the best part is that the Gospel, the things that we believe, make sense. We challenge those to read The Book of Mormon and pray about it with sincerity in their hearts and ask Heavenly Father if it is true. and what i admire most is the confidence that the members have with this challenge because of the faith that they have when they give people this invitation. I can testify personally that this works. and i found this by making the effort to go to church and by living the principals that are taught. I continued to learn about things that are specific to the church like temples and marriage for time and all eternity. the feeling that i felt when learning about these things were like no other and cannot be matched by anything on this earth. The holy ghost testified these truths through indescribable feelings of peace and love and i am so grateful to have felt that and that i still continue to feel that spirit as i attend church and through missionary work.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by volunteering and helping people as much as i can. I love making people happy. So what i do to spread happiness is that i volunteer as much as i can. Currently i'm on a mission right now but when i was at home I volunteered at a therapeutic horse riding stable where mentally handicapped people would come with their loved ones and they would ride the horses and play games and learn how to take care of the horses too.
