Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a music and science lover, soccer player, video game fanatic, anime watcher, and project maker. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I finished high school in 2013 as a valedictorian of my school. I worked and saved money for a year and then decided to go on a mission. I am currently serving in the California, Arcadia Spanish speaking mission. I love being a Mormon and right now I can't think of anything better to do than to share the gospel with the people of California. After I return from my mission I want to go to school at BYU for a degree in science. I have many things that I like doing for fun. One of my favorite things in this world is music. I have played the piano since I was 5 years old and I love learning songs that inspire me. During the year before my mission, I was the chorister for my branch and I love the hymns we use. Also, I listen to almost any genre of music, including: pop, country, rap, pop punk, classic rock, post-hardcore, heavy metal, and maybe anything you could name. I have played soccer since I could walk and in my last two years of high school I played tennis and I loved it. I have two best friends that are also Mormon and we are really close, closer than most friends. We like to build things together, different projects that we can come up with. Also, we like to make explosives and propellants, and set them off to see what happens. We also love to collect weapons like swords and knives, and we practice with them for fun. As a group or sometimes by ourselves we like to free-run or practice parkour skills. I am an avid fan of anime, Xbox 360, and many different book series.

Why I am a Mormon

To begin with, I was born into The Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I have lived my life I have come to know many times over that this church is the true church of Christ. My parents and my church teachers have taught me so many things that I have come to love. I am a Mormon because all of the things that I have been taught, I know are true and I love. There is nothing that man can come up with that would ever make fall away or doubt this church. Also, I believe that science and faith go hand in hand. In all of the science classes that I have taken in school, I have never learned thing that would oppose the existence of God. In fact, everything that I have learned convinces me even more that life without God would be impossible. When I listen to hymns and participate in church activities, I can feel the Holy Spirit and God's presence. The many good feelings and impressions that I have felt from this gospel strengthen my faith and I can truly say that I know this church is true. This gospel and church make me so happy, I will always stay truth to this faith. I love this church, I know it's true. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

For a year I was the chorister for my branch. Working with the hymns and getting familiar with them really helped strengthen me spiritually and I noticed that many members loved the hymns too. I loved going to church and I always tried to be reverent whenever we were in meetings or classes. Sometimes I taught lessons or gave talks in my church but mostly I would just enjoy listening with my good friends. Also, when I am not in church, my friends and I will have gospel discussions and we always support and strengthen each other in many spiritual ways. My family and I also like to have family home evening whenever we can. When I am by myself, I like to read the Bible and the Book of Mormon so that I can strengthen my testimony. Prayer is also very important to me, it helps me find peace and guidance when I need it most. Serving a mission is one of the greatest ways that I live my faith. I find so much happiness in this faith and I want to share it with anyone who will listen.
