Hi I'm Tyler Kelly Elkington

I grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I enjoy fishing, playing basketball and baseball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my Dad and my Uncle. I enjoy fishing, playing basketball and baseball. I plan on serving a mission and then going to college. I want to be a computer programmer. I developed a computer app while in high school. I am the only boy in my family. I have been able to volunteer in several community youth organizations that teach about the legal system, drug and alcohol abuse.

Why I am a Mormon

I have was lucky enough to have been born into the church; but, I have come to a knowledge for myself that the things I have been taught are true. I have seen the power of the priesthood first hand, which is the power and authority that God has given to those who are worthy to act in his name. With this opportunity, many blessings can arise. I can testify of the many miracles that have been shown to me that could not have been possible, save it were by the power of the priesthood. The Holy Ghost has testified to the truth of so many things to me in my life. It often comes as a burning within my heart. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and testifies of Christ. I have read it several times. I know that Joseph Smith restored the true church upon the Earth and saw Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. There is a modern day prophet, like those in the days of old, who reveals God's plans for His children. We are all sons and daughters of God. He loves and knows each and every one of us. Christ died on the cross so that we may return to our Heavenly Father and be clean from all of our mistakes, if we but have faith in Him. This knowledge has brought me much joy throughout my life, especially when I have gone through difficult times. This is the reason I have decided to serve a mission, because of Christ's love. I want others to know of this great joy.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to others around me. I have high moral standards and goals. I am a quiet leader. I believe that Sundays are for a day of rest and spending time with family. I attend church regularly and magnify my duties. I have never turned down a call to serve.
