Hi I'm Tifani

I love being outside especially in the mountains or in the desert. I love music and play a couple of instruments. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently finished my first year of college and I've decided that I really want to work with kids who have behavioral disorders. I come from a big family and I am the sixth out of eight children. I love doing things outside like camping, hiking, riding my ATV, and hunting. I love music and sometimes it's the only thing that can get rid of a bad mood. One of my favorite things to do is to sit on my front porch during a thunder storm and watching the rain and lightning. I love to watch movies and I tend to quote movies all the time to my friends and family. I love to read. I love getting lost in books and forgetting about the world around me. I love doing adventurous things like river rafting, rock climbing, going on zip lines, and repelling.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church my entire life and it never really acquired to me to live any differently. When I was about 15 years old, I decided to find out if God really loved me. So I prayed for weeks asking Him if He loved me and for a long time I didn't get an answer and it really tried my faith and I was starting to doubt my testimony and the church. This went on for about a year and I was seriously doubting my testimony and was just going through the motions of going to church every week. Finally, one day, I got my answer. I was reading in the scriptures and i knew that God loved me. An overwhelming feeling started to come over me and I felt His unconditional love for me and I realized that I'd always known that He loved me I was just too stubborn to realize it. Ever since then, I have grown to love God and Jesus Christ more and more since then and I know that this is the true church. I am so happy when I am following God's commandments and I love the fact that this church provides answers to all of my many questions about who I am, where I come from, and what I can be. I know that the Prophet today and the previous prophets, are called of God and that they know what's best for us. I have a firm testimony of the Book of Mormon and I know that it is another Testament of Jesus Christ, our Savior and older brother who loves each and every one of us more than we can imagine. He suffered tremendously so that we could all be saved and repent of our sins. Christ knows what we are going through always, and I love that I can turn to him to help me whenever I am struggling. I would do anything for him, anything he asks of me because he has done so much for me. He's saved me, ordinary me, and I will be eternally grateful to him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best person I can be. I try to look for ways to serve others, although sometimes I'm not very good at it. I try and make sure I go to all my church meetings and every Sunday, I teach the 3-4 year olds and I love it. I do my best to read my scriptures everyday and even though some days it can be pretty hard I know it'll be worthwhile. When I was in my first year of college, my roommates and I would get in a lot of spiritual discussions which always helped me in living my faith. Music is another way that i've lived my faith. I've been asked to sing in church a couple of times and while it made me ridiculously nervous to do it, the songs that I would sing, would help people know my testimony a lot better than if i would try and explain it in words.

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

Tifani
Our churches are a place where Mormons and visitors can come and meet to pray, learn more about the our beliefs, and partake of the sacrament. Our temples are very sacred to us and to God. It is a place where sacred ordinances take place and because of this, attending the temple is limited to worthy member of the Mormon church that obey all of God's commandments. Show more Show less
