Hi I'm Heather Johnson

I'm a 22 year old Idaho native, married to the love of my life, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have the best husband a girl could ask for, 2 wonderful parents, 6 crazy siblings, and 21 nieces&nephews; so you can say family is extremely important to me. I also served a full-time mission in Cincinnati Ohio and love the people there!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents have raised me to be a Mormon, but as I became old enough to understand I began to wonder if it was truly right for me. I always knew there was a God, but how could he possibly be aware of someone as insignificant as me? I wanted to know for myself, so I prayed about it. I read the Book of Mormon and pleaded with Heavenly Father to help me understand. I didn't have a vision, and Heavenly Father didn't come down and tell me it was true himself. But I did feel something that's indescribable. Something warm and comforting. I felt Heavenly Father testify to me that this is His church and it's true. I now know that Heavenly Father is aware of me and you because we are His children. He loves us beyond our comprehension and He will never leave us comfortless. I've come to understand that all of His children have different trials and pains in their life. But I know, that whatever we may experience in this life, Heavenly Father and the Savior are there. They have sent us angels to help guide and comfort us in this crazy world. I know that my life here on earth has purpose and meaning. This life is the time to prepare to meet God, and I love growing closer to Him each and every day. I find joy in bringing other people to His Gospel. That's a reason I decided to serve a mission. I want other people to experience the comfort, peace, and happiness the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring. We must put our trust in God and exercise our Faith. As Mormons we believe that faith is an active word rather than passive. It's not just enough to believe, we have to act on our faith. That's what I've done. I have found this Gospel to be true for myself, and I invite you to do the same!

How I live my faith

Many people choose to live and show their faith differently. I choose to dress modestly, speak kindly, and exemplify the Savior as best as I can. I hold a calling in my Young Single Adult congregation and teach all the women in the ward. I also attend the temple weekly and do my best to make scripture study and prayer a daily habit.
