Hi I'm John (Jack) Furlong

I'm a Technology Worker, and I'm a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons).

About Me

I read extensively; Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mysteries, Non-fiction, etc. I enjoy animation of many kinds, especially Japanese Anime. I'm a fan of comic books, and an artist, and I've had artwork published in the past. When I have time, I throw horseshoes competitively.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because I prayed and asked Father, and felt the need to join. Prior to that, I spent ten years thoroughly examining the church and it's teachings. Yes, I'm stubborn, but it took me that long to look over all the teachings I could, and be certain they lined up with what I believed. The church's beliefs regarding family and personal service supported what I believed then, and still do believe.

How I live my faith

I'm the Technology Expert for my congregation (ward); I teach people how to use computers, copiers, video & audio equipment, run them for others if required, and make repairs if needed. I also maintain the calendar for my congregation, and occasionally teach lessons on Sundays. When those things aren't needed, I help out wherever I can.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ. That's true for _all_ Christians including Mormons. Show more Show less
