Hi I'm Terrie Kay Moss

I was blessed to be born into a good latter day saint family. I was taught how important it is to believe in the church.

About Me

I am 63 years old and have decided to go on a full time mission with my husband. I am the mother of three children and a grandmother of eleven grandchildren. I have been to college where I received my Bachelor and Master degrees. I have taught school for thirty years and have loved every minute of it. I have been in the primary presidency as well as the Young Women's presidency. I love to share my time with the young people. I love to make quilts and sew. My husband and I have traveled to many places in the world. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to sharing the love the gospel with the people I will be serving on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I try to live the gospel in my everyday living. I was blessed enough to have good parents. My testimony really grew when I was alone raising two children by my self. We would read scriptures every night and pray together. I attended the temple once a week and paid a full tithing. I had many trials during this time and found myself on my knees many times. The Lord does hear and answer prayers. I know this with every fiber of my being. He helped me make it a joy to raise my children in a home of love, kindness, and hope. Once when I was on my knees praying. Asking my Heavenly Father if we (myself and my two children) were going to be o.k. While attending the temple that day I received an answer that was perfect for me. I went home and shared it with my children. It was good to have the wonderful feeling that God does hear and answer our prayers. A few years later I met and married a wonderful man that did love my two children as his own. The Lord does hear our prayers. The church is the heart and soul of my life. There are only two things that I must always remember and hold dear to me. The church is true and Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. It is so good to go into see the bishop and be able to answer all the questioned asked, in a pleasing manner while receiving my temple recommend. Everyone has the ability to have a little bit of heaven on earth. I do and I am so excited to share it with the people around the world.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in my everyday life. I participate in volunteering my time and talents at an elementary school that some of my grandchildren go it. Every Tuesday I teach 160 kids my passion of art. I have helped for many years in the young women's program. We go at least once a month to volunteer our help at homeless shelters, seeing the sick and afflicted, also helping out in reading programs for our neighborhood. I go visit teaching to sisters in my ward at least once a week. I enjoy spending time with them. When my husband and I travel we live the gospel the best we can. We find a church where we are and go. I learned a great lesson from my son when he was only seven. We were in California for our annual trip, it was Sunday and we were walking along the beach. He asked me if we were going to go to church that day. I told him no, we are on vacation. He looked up at me with his big green eyes and said "Heavenly Father doesn't take vacations from us mom." It was at the point that I decided that where ever we go we find a church to attend. I try to live and do things that I would do if Jesus were by my side.
