Hi I'm Jedd

Always got a song in my head. From Utah. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I like to live!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon & member of tHis church because I feel God & Jesus here healing me and helping me understand Them and Their word in ways and depths I love & cherish.

How I live my faith

Hmmm...I'm a pretty selfish single guy doing a little good on the side. The good life is the God Life. This I know for sure--I've tried it and the opposite. I'm sincerely trying to turn my will and my life over to God--His way is Life. My way is death. Wow. How grateful I am my death is no match for my Deliverer! He'll still take me and make me His. He'll still heal me, restore the real me, and give me life--His Life!

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

"Behold...This is the plan...salvation through the blood of mine Only Begotten" (Moses 6:62) God’s got grace fully figured out. I don’t. He knows the perfect amount of grace & works for me and all His kids across the continents. Recently I read our third article of faith and questioned the line ‘saved by obedience’. I thought & said ‘What? I’m so saved by grace!’ I mean I mess-up!..alot!! At first I figured that ‘saved by obedience’ must just be to the common command to repent. Next I capitalized Obedience and attributed salvation to my Savior ‘by the obedience of one…many made righteous’ (Romans 5:19). Finally I took some responsibility. Since my Savior obeys and obedience is a huge part of who He is...it appears His invitation ‘Come, Follow Me’ must include obedience to His command to keep!..Me. Keep My Commands. Stay with Me. Obey!...the prevention part of redemption. He knows my obedience will be imperfect so ‘The blood of The Righteous be shed that all they that mourn may be sanctified’ (Moses 7:45)...by repenting & accepting God's amazing grace no matter how far I feel! How low I go! Or how high & mighty I mistake myself to be. His grace covers all! Hallelujah! Heaven heals all Hell! Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

While watching the World Cup Brazil Mexico match recently I loved watching Mexico’s goalkeeper Ochoa make amazing saves. After one impressive save I shouted "That was the greatest save ever!" They showed it from every angle in slo mo and more. Soon I thought of Christ (Thanks Rio Christ The Redeemer!) and 'His Greatest Save Ever!' for everyone from every angle. I flashed back to Christ's amazing saves in my life from myself heading for hell, oft-times arriving & still finding Him right there ready to redeem me regardless my rebellion?! "O how great the goodness of...God" (2 Nephi 9:10). Were He not there I’d still be there in hell dying & lying to myself that this death is life!..this hell is heaven! Were there no deliverance from the lies, the Liar, the monster, the beast; me and my madness would deliver myself to death disguised as life. I would embrace the beast. I would let loose & let Lucifer. But there is deliverance! There is a way out!! There is an “escape!!! from that awful monster” (2 Nephi 9:10). The Messiah (D&C 138:23). The Matchless Power & Mercy of The Messiah!..Delivers me from death, restores my life, purifies me, sanctifies me; I feel new—brand new! Born again in Him. “Washed…white in the Blood of the Lamb” (Rev. 7:14). Wow! Thou art Amazing!..Savior. I want this...I want Thee always! Even when death looks like life, I’ll surrender my will…my way…my eye and accept Thy Will. Thy Way. Thy Eye! Show more Show less
