Hi I'm Bob

I grew up in Osgood, Idaho. I spent 4 years in the Air Force. I retired from the City of Idaho Falls. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a father of 5 kids. I have 14 grandkids. I love the scouting program. I like to fish and hunt and work on old cars. I currently have a 1969 Datsun Roadster. I enjoy supporting my grandkids in the things they are involved in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into a Mormon family. Throughout my life I have gained a testimony of the gospel and I am trying to be worthy of the blessings that are promised including forever families. I was not active in the Gospel for a period of time. As we started taking our children to church, and started living the teachings, my testimony of the gospel grew. I am grateful for the gospel in my life and the strength it is to me on a daily basis, for the opportunity I have to live close to the temple and enjoy the blessings of going to the temple often. I know that Joseph Smith was sent to bring the gospel in this dispensation and that he saw what he says he saw. I am grateful for the living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the 18-30 year old single adults. We often do service projects such as feeding the homeless, helping someone with tree removal, cutting firewood, and humanitarian aid projects. We grow a garden and share the produce and make salsa for our activities. I was a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America for 9 years and enjoyed camping and teaching the young men. I was fortunate enough to attend 2 encampments, one in 1988 and one in 2013. I was in charge of feeding over 500 scouts and leaders for 4 days at the encampment in 2013. I enjoy serving others in many capacities.
