Hi I'm Alex

I'm a car and drifting fanatic and want to pursue a career in engineering. I'm currently a missionary in Idaho. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I worked as a mechanic at a Honda Dealership for a year to pay for my mission. I love to drive, work on, learn about, and be around cars and ultimately want to design and build race cars. I particularly like drifting, but i love any and all motor-sports; I just have a passion for anything and everything that is fast and loud. I currently serve as a full-time missionary in the Idaho Pocatello Mission and love to serve the people out here. My family is amazing, there are 8 kids total and we're a big yours-mine-ours family. My dad had 3 sons from a previous marriage, and my mother had a daughter from a previous marriage. They got married and sealed and had my two older brothers, then me, then my little sister. Most of us are out of the house now, so my parents are almost empty nesters. Growing up, i have always enjoyed making jokes, especially terrible puns and extremely cheezy plays on words. I love laughing, singing, and long walks on the beach (lol).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but was always somewhat rebellious to fully living the standards. In my teenage years I did a lot of things that i thought would bring me happiness but weren't in line with God's teachings. I took a different path and eventually realized that I just felt aimless, worthless and empty inside. I saw the happiness that many of my family members and friends had and was drawn to it, yearning for it like a thirst for water that was seemingly unquenchable. I had pushed away what had given me peace, though i didnt realize it until it was gone. I desperately wanted that peace again, but i needed to know that what i had been taught is actually TRUE; without falsehood and deception. I came to realize that there was no better way to do this than by reading The Book of Mormon. I prayed every time i read and a couple weeks into it i was reading and had an overwhelming feeling that filled soul and permeated my very being that this book absolutely is true, and if it be true, then the Church must be as well. That was a testimony to me that God loves us infinitely; enough to again call a prophet in such perilous times and answer our most sincere and personal prayers. Years later, i still remember the words that came to my mind and the feeling that touched my heart that changed my life forever. I have not looked back since and have only grown my knowledge and determination to follow Jesus Christ through prayer and study and have dedicated myself to serving a two year mission to bring this truth to those who have not yet heard it.

How I live my faith

I try to share the gospel with everyone i meet because it has brought me such joy in all that i do. My family and i have scripture study together every night. It really brings us together as a family and has strengthened my knowledge that the family is vital to our happiness. I currently serve far away from home as a full-time missionary in the Idaho Pocatello Mission, helping others find renewed faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. I love serving the Lord and all those i come in contact with. I am preparing myself to one day find a companion to whom i can be sealed for time and all eternity, and be a worthy Priesthood holder to bless and provide for my family. Nothing is more important than loving God, our families, and others.
