Hi I'm Taylor

I'm 19 years old, I love ice cream, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. Football, soccer, ultimate frisbee, basketball, table tennis and curling. I enjoy all of it but that doesn't mean I'm any good at it! I absolutely love my family. I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers and they are some of my best friends. I play the piano and the cello, and I'm an eagle scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, and growing up I followed my parent's example, I went to church because they did, I prayed because they did. But gradually, I stopped leaning on my parents and I wanted to know for myself if the church was true. I read Moroni's promise in Moroni 10, and put it to the test. I received an answer that the Book of Mormon is true. I gained a testimony of my own. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and blesses us. I know that he sent his son Jesus Christ to the earth to atone for our sins and redeem us from the fall. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He translated the Book of Mormon through inspiration from our Heavenly Father. The church is true and it makes me happy. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I teach the gospel every day as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

Taylor
The church is a place where we worship our Heavenly Father. It's as simple as that. The temple is where we perform essential saving ordinances and make covenants with God. We do not by any means intend to exclude any from entering this sacred place, but because it is sacred, only members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who keep God's commandment are permitted to enter.
