Hi I'm Spencer Dye

I am from Idaho, I enjoy the outdoors, I love sports and being active, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Shelley, Idaho. I love sports! I played football, basketball, and ran track in high school! I love camping and fishing! I just enjoy the outdoors! My family means everything to me! Without them I would be nothing! I served a two year mission in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission and the Arkansas Bentonville Mission. It changed my life. I owe everything to this gospel and would be lost without out it. I love meeting new people and making more friends. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church, but that didn't mean that I always believed it. I grew up with my parents telling me it's true, but I had to find out for myself. During high school I went through many things that tried my faith. I at one point didn't think that the church was really for me. I had great leaders and great parents that never gave up on me. One night I decided I would ask God if the things I had been taught my whole life were true. After the prayer, I remember feeling a sense of urgency to read my scriptures. As I read my scriptures I found out for myself, through the power of the Holy Ghost, that these things are true. I invite everyone to do the same. Read the Book of Mormon, along with the Bible, and ask God. If you do that, as it promises in the scriptures, "Ask and ye shall receive, knock and it shall be open unto you" you will receive an answer to your prayers. God loves each and everyone of us. He wants to answer your questions. So ask God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith all day everyday. I want everyone everywhere to know that Jesus is the Christ and that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God. I grew up a member of the church, and wouldn't want it any other way. I grew up with a great family that was always active in the church. As a teenager, my family and I woke up every morning to study scriptures together and pray. Through my life I have had to learn for myself that the things that the church teaches are true. In high school I had trouble believing what I was being taught at times. Through diligent study and prayer I know for a fact that these things are true. I know that you can to as you do the same. I also know that you can be happy as you read scriptures, pray, and serve others daily. That's how I have found happiness and I know it'll do the same for you as you test it out.
