Hi I'm Raeanna Loraine

I'm a poet. I'm a humanitarian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from both Southern California and SW Idaho. I'm a convert to the church, I was baptized when I was 12 years old- and I have a firm testimony that this Gospel is true. I'll be serving a mission in South Carolina! I like to write poetry, watch movies (I have a dog named Mona, based off Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim vs the World) read, people watch, longboard, and rock climb. I'm a sociology major that plans on saving the world! I want to work in both inner cities, and with third world countries, providing aid to children and mothers. I dream of travelling, owning my own bookstore, and having a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always known that Jesus was the Christ and that he was God's only begotten son, who came to earth to suffer for my sins. I grew up going to non-denominational Christian churches- and loved them! I prayed nightly with my mother and grandmother, and went to services on Sundays with my friends. When I was twelve, I moved to Idaho, and went to an LDS service with my dad, and suddenly, everything clicked! I had no idea I was missing out on so many blessings, and so many principles of true doctrine. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints made sense, for me and for the lifestyle that I wanted, and yes, I knew that at 12. I felt comforted, I felt safe, and I felt the Spirit, like never before. I prayed, and was baptized soon after. I'm a Mormon because I know the Gospel is true. I know we have a Prophet who communicates with God. I have a testimony that God hears and answers my prayers as well, and that because of Jesus Christ, my sins are forgotten in the sight of the Lord. I'm a Mormon because I want to live my life as close to God and Jesus Christ as possible. I'm a Mormon because the Gospel is personal, I have had so many trials, events, and blessings, that testify that Heavenly Father knows me individually- He knows my wants, needs, desires, hopes, dreams, talents. I'm a Mormon because when life seems like it's getting harder than I can handle, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what keeps the sadness and the depression away. I'm a Mormon because the Gospel makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I have a soft spot for working with children, but currently teach Sunday school for my single's ward. I'm preparing for a mission and I love to go to the temple as often as possible.
