Hi I'm Rachel Leah Stone

I was born in Arizona and grew up in Utah. I'm an avid college runner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything outdoors and especially running. I just finished my freshman year of college and had the opportunity to run for them collegiality. I love anything that involves good music. I'm majoring in biology with an emphasis in zoology. I love my life. Annnd that's about it.

Why I am a Mormon

What a great question! Like a lot of members, I was raised in the church and baptized at 8 years of age. Through my teenage years I would wonder if all of this was actually true. There came a point where I knew I needed my own answer to be able to continue on. I reread the Book of Mormon with the purpose of finding this answer and once I had read a few chapters, I knelt down and prayed. I prayed to know if the book was true and if this really was Jesus Christ's church. I was overcome a with a feeling that is hard to put into words. It was one of peace, happiness and joy and I know that it was the Holy Spirit answering me. I knew for certain that I had made the right decision in being baptized and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is truly Jesus Christ's restored church and I should not doubt it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being trying every day to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. Whether that involves smiling at someone, helping a stranger out or going to church, I strive to do it all. I'm not perfect at it, that's for sure, but I know that trying every day to be more like him will bring me and others happiness. And now I'm on a mission in Cleveland, Ohio serving at the Historic Kirtland Visitor Center!
