Hi I'm Jacob

I love action sports, I love LAX, I love to cook, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Jake, I love action sports of all kinds my favorites are snowboarding, skiing, wakeskating, dirt biking, and Mtn biking. I played lacrosse in high school and I love Lax! I love music, Country, Indie, and Reggae are my favorites but I like all types. I'm a bit of a Mtn hippie, but I've got some country blood that shows through from time to time. I love to cook! I worked at a Restaurant on Temple Square before my mission, and learned some gnarly chef skills. But most of all I love my family, I am currently serving an LDS mission in Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church with a loving LDS family. I routinely went to church and participated in church activities throughout my life, until I came to the realization that I really didn't know why I was doing all those things. As a result I started to read, study, pray, and learn for myself if the church was true. I did so and received a confirmation that this was the true church on the earth today! I challenge everyone to do the same.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve others. My parents have always made service a priority and taught me to work hard. Being on a mission is the perfect opportunity to serve others and grow spiritually. I have realized that through helping others come unto Christ I find myself growing closer to Christ. That is one of the biggest reasons I decided to serve a mission, to help others find that joy that the gospel provides, and to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
