Hi I'm McKay Clarke

I love football, family, and My Savior Jesus Christ! Missionary in the Washington Vancouver Mission and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Riverton, Utah. I grew up playing and watching sports my whole life. I found a deep love for football and basketball. And also a talent of throwing the javelin for the Track team. I learned a lot from playing sports and from really good coaches. I learned how to be disciplined and to have fun. I had a lot of success playing sports throughout high school but I decided to put up the ball and the cleats in the closet and leave my friends and family to serve a full time mission for the church. I serve now as a missionary in the Washington Vancouver Mission. I love to have fun and to joke around. I have a kind tender heart when you break through my outer shell. I love my family and friends and am grateful for the support they render.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church my whole life. I went to church every Sunday and did all that was expected of me. It wasn't until very recently that I gained a faith for myself of the divinity of my Savior and the truthfulness of the gospel. My best friend went through a lot of trials to ultimately follow the example that the Savior made in being baptized. Her faith and her desire made me realize how true this gospel is. I always told her that the gospel was true, but I didn't know for myself until I saw the change that the Savior's grace made in her. She was happier. And I knew that nothing could bring that joy except that the gospel was true. I prayed and sought for a faith of my own. Now I can firmly say that I know my Savior lives. I know that I have made covenants with him and my Father in Heaven to be more like him. He has made me the person I am today. And I am eternally grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through diligently serving in the callings with which my Heavenly Father calls me to do. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I love my Savior. I do all I can to emulate him and bring others unto him. He has given me so much and I can only pay him back through my love and gratitude for him and his children on Earth. I do all I can to serve his children and make sure they understand the magnitude of his sacrifice and the blessings that can come. This gospel is about becoming more and I can honestly say that through the enabling power of the Savior, I have begun to become what he needs me to be as his servant.
