Hi I'm Elder Jarom Shaun Carter

I grew up in southwest Missouri, I am a backpacking fanatic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a backpacking fanatic, my experience has mainly been located in Cimarron New Mexico of the Sangre de Christo Mountain Range. I have hiked over a couple hundred miles in a quarter million acre wooldand. I am a former Mountain Guide and Merit Badge Counselor. My element is in the outdoors, I love to go Bicycling, Canoeing, Backpacking, Running, etc. I am a Eagle Scout, earned the Duty to God, Faith in God, and LDS On My Honor. Currentl serving in the California Rancho Cucamonga Mission, as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the church, I have had many great role models to follow to help me along the way. But I know for myself that the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and that the church is not for people who are perfect. The church is for sinners who are humble enough to realize their own strengths and weaknesses of whom do their best to strive to be perfect, while fully knowing that we can't be perfect and yet endure to the end. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I participate in my community by working with my local scout troop. I am the Assistant Scoutmaster, and have held many many callings and leadership positions in both my church and scout troop. I have recently been called to serve as a missionary in the Rancho Cucamonga Mission of California.
