Hi I'm Tanner Gehring

I'm from Heber City, Utah born and raised. Heber is an hours drive from Salt Lake City and church headquarters.

About Me

I am currently 19 years old I have attended one year college and graduated from Wasatch High School in 2013. I went to Snow College in Ephraim Utah. While it is a junior college it was tons of fun and I miss all the activities there. I love to ride atv's that is something I have been doing for most of my life. If you ever need a guide for Cascade Springs near Heber than I am your guy. I currently ride a Utility Four wheeler, a Yamaha Timberwolf but one day I hope to own a Yamaha Raptor. Fox Racing is my favorite brand and I will admit that I am a bit obsessed with it. Mostly the fact that I love to speed on atv's is why I would like a raptor so badly. I also love to drive, I don't know what it is but I just love to drive cars and see tricked out ones. I simply love nice cars, which is probably why I like the Fast and Furious movies so much. My dream car is a red Chevy Camaro with black racing stripes, new school. I am also an Eagle Scout I made log benches for the front porch of the Sante Assisted Living Center in Heber. The porch has a great view of the Timpanogas Mountain so I thought benches would be perfect for it. Computers are probably one of my passions. I wouldn't say that I'm really a nerd with computers but there is a lot of stuff that I am good at with them. I got my first laptop at the end of my Freshman year in High School and am still using it to this day. It is a Dell Inpsiron, it has been so good to me. I'd write more but I'm out of room. Computers

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have been a Mormon I was born and raised in the church my grandparents are converts and that's when my family started with the church. I stay with the church because it feels like home and I've seen so much evidence that the church is true. In fact there was one experience I had that I'm not even going to type out because it was just so powerful, personal, and emotional because it involved a friend who had passed. I love the church. The church is a wonderful place. It is my personal belief that the Mormon church or as it is actually called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" or LDS was restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith and is true. Its exactly the same church people read about in the bible and the Book of Mormon. It is the restored church on earth now. I'm thrilled to be apart of it. I believe that Joseph Smith really did see the father and son in the Sacred Grove in New York State. The evidence that the church is true is in my eyes simply overwhelming there is no possible way it could ever all be a lie.

How I live my faith

I currently attend a Singles Ward in Heber so far its been great there are wonderful people there. I currently don't have any church callings but I'm sure one will probably be coming my way at some point.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Tanner Gehring
Mormon comes from our scriptures "The Book of Mormon."(which goes hand in hand with the bible) Mormon has become our nickname based on that. It is what we are more commonly known as today. Show more Show less
