Hi I'm Lauren Nef

I am a Californian, I am a communications student, I am a writer, I am on a mission in France, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love food, I love cooking, I love being with my family, I love music, I love movies, and I love the gospel. I am a university student studying communications. Since the time I was very little, I have always had an affinity for writing. In this era of modern technology and communication, I want to send stories out to the masses, bringing truth and knowledge to anyone who will listen. Having just finished my first year of college, I have decided to serve a mission. I have been called to serve in the south of France.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a person who searches for and craves truth - truths of science, truths of history, and truths of life. I testify that the purest truths can only be found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. His gospel is the only means by which we may all be able to obtain true and lasting happiness. Through my search and study of the gospel, I have come to knowledge that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He is our Savior, advocate, and brother. I know the Book of Mormon and the Bible contain the word of God. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today - Thomas S. Monson - and that he leads and guides Christ's church. Perhaps the greatest truth of all - I know that God knows and loves each of us individually with a love that we cannot comprehend. If we follow the truths in the gospel, we will find our way back to His open arms.

How I live my faith

Before my mission, I served as a a teacher in the Relief Society - a women's organization in the church - as well as a teacher in Sunday School. I am currently serving an 18-month mission in the south of France.
