Hi I'm Ryan

I am from St. Louis. I am a musician. I love computer science. I am a Mormon

About Me

One of the activities I spend a lot of time doing is practicing musical instruments including the piano and percussion instruments. I discovered resources for learning software design about halfway through high school and have enjoyed continuing to learn to program and use those skills to build software. I am currently serving a mission for the church, but when I return will be attending college as a computer science major and doing a prerequisite program for dental school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. Even though I was raised by a family of all members of the church, I had to come to my own belief and understanding because I knew that I could not simply rely on the beliefs of my family members. I decided to read the Book of Mormon and ask Heavenly Father if it was true and if the Mormon church was the true church, and over time I gained a knowledge of its truth. It was not necessarily an instant overwhelming feeling. I know that I thought it would make sense for the church to be true, but really believing it was another thing entirely. It wasn't something that just came to me, I had to work for it to really understand the things I was learning and come to the realization that I knew it was true. Once I knew it was true, there was nothing that could stop me from wanting to be an active member of my Heavenly Father's restored gospel.

How I live my faith

At home, I live my faith by my callings in the church. I help the mormon missionaries in my area teach the Gospel when they invite me to go out with them, and I also enjoy helping members of the church with their needs and participating in helpful service activities.
