Hi I'm Dallin

I am a student studying computer science. I am currently preparing to serve an LDS mission in the Philippenes.

About Me

I am a college student studying Computer Science, and I want to start a career in robotics. I love technology and all the possibilities it brings and cool stuff it can do. I recently worked on a team at my university to build a functional mars rover. It was awesome. I love my family, especially since we are all a bit zany. I also love to enjoy all the beauties of nature and just have fun with my friends. Some of my interests include drawing, playing with Legos, and playing my ocarina. I recently received a call to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines, and I am very excited to share my testimony of Jesus Christ and my knowledge of the gospel with those who need it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church, but I really started to believe it when I was a teenager. Varying morals in high school and so many decisions about right and wrong caused me to think about what I really believed and what was truly right. The faith of my parents, a great youth camp, and actually testing this gospel out through daily prayer, study, and experience have helped me find that this faith is true. Other than that I am a Mormon because I really can't understand how people manage to get by without being one. The hope, peace, and excitement the doctrines and principles of the gospel bring are just so awesome that I wish I could get everyone to see the truth behind them. Being a Mormon helps me live life more fully and become a better person every day. It provides guidance and reassurance in a world full of changing truths and difficult decisions.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily striving to improve and become more like Christ. That is one of the great things about this gospel, it is about becoming your best self and continuing to learn throughout your life. Some may think that living the commandments and principles of the gospel is restricting, but it is really the way that a perfect God gave us to find true happiness in this life and the life to come. I improve each day by studying the scriptures and the words of modern-day prophets, fulfilling my responsibilities in the church organization and aligning my thoughts and behavior a little closer each day to becoming the kind of person Christ wants me to be while trusting in Christ's Atonement to help fill in the gaps.
