Hi I'm Jesse

I just graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. I enjoyed playing football (US) and Rugby.

About Me

I love spending time in the outdoors doing things such as skiing, boating, repelling, exploring, snowmobiling, dirt biking, hiking, camping, etc. I played US football for 10 years beginning when I was 8 years old. My senior year of high school I began playing rugby. This was a new experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was fun learning a new sport. I never anticipated that it could be so much fun. I have been called to serve a mission in England. I look forward to talking to people there about my experience playing rugby. I also look forward to sharing my beliefs with the people of England.

Why I am a Mormon

My Mormon heritage goes back to the 1830's when the Church of Jesus Christ was restored. My parents and family are all active members. But, that is not why I continue to believe. Even though I have been taught the beliefs of the Church since I was young, I have researched and studied to gain my own conviction that the things that I have been taught are true. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and have prayed about its truthfulness. I have received witness of the Holy Ghost that it is true. I have also received blessings and joy from making good decisions. You too can know for yourself if you study and pray.

How I live my faith

As the only boy my age in my local congregation (ward), it has put lots of responsibility on me to help and serve others. I am often called upon to help organize our youth and lead by example. I grew up in a strong Mormon community, but all of my friends were not Mormons. I was able to be a good friend to them, and be an example to them. Even though we did not share the same beliefs, we were able to still be good friends.
