Hi I'm Dillon H Sorenson

I am from a family of 7, I am the middle child with two older brothers and two younger sisters. I am serving a full-time mission!

About Me

I was raised in the faith but I have recently converted in the last 3 years. I love sports, I play and watch basketball, football, and baseball. I'm 3 of 5 kids in my family and have a big group of cousins on both sides. I am currently on a my mission and I am serving in the West Virginia Charleston Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into the Church I never had that "converting moment" that a lot of people talk about until about 2-3 years ago. It began when I wasn't attending church regularly and happened to go to church with a cousin. I had that overwhelming feeling that that was where I needed to be. Ever since then I have been preparing to serve a mission and thankfully I have been called to a wonderful mission. Each day I learn more and more and come closer to Him. It is an amazing blessing in my life and I'm grateful for all the help that has brought me here. I couldn't have done this alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith largely, at the moment, by serving a mission for the church. This includes a lot of day to day things such as, prayer all the time, scripture study, sharing the gospel, and being apart of the ward where I am serving. I also try to do service whenever I can especially for people that can't do it for their selves.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Dillon H Sorenson
One of the biggest purposes in our lives, among many others, is the ability to grow and learn. This stems from the amazing gift of agency. Without the Atonement of Jesus Christ none of this would happen and the Atonement wouldn't have happened if this wasn't a goal in our life on earth. Show more Show less
