Hi I'm Damon

Lived my life so far in Springville, Utah. Lifelong Member, Dominos manager, and a normal guy, I love the church, and i'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 19 years old and have just graduated high school. I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter Day Saints in Minnesota. I am talented in woodworking and enjoy almost every sport besides golf because its too slow for me. Hiking in the outdoors is one of my favorite things to do with my family and I love to travel all over the U.S. to see all of the different National Parks out there. Through high school I worked at Dominos Pizza as a Manager, later becoming a Driver. My older brother and father as well as both of my grandfathers have served missions in various locations throughout the world. I know that if this gospel was not a part of my life that I would not be the same person that I am today. No matter what your background is or what challenges you face this gospel can help! I have a strong testimony of the church and cant wait to share the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church is first based around families. Families are essential to God's plan for all of us here on earth. In our families we learn about our Heavenly Father who loves us much like our earthly fathers do. I know that people are here on the earth to be tested and tried. Our decisions here on earth either help or hinder our progression in the next life. I know that without this gospel and the Book of Mormon most of my decisoins would be hindering the life to come. I know that we have a modern day prophet here on the earth named Thomas S. Monson and that the holds the power and authority to recieve revelation for the people of this earth. I believe that God is speaking to man and that through our prophet we can be guided and directed as our Heavenly Father would guide us.

How I live my faith

I will be serving a full two year mission very soon and will be attempting to share what I know is true with all of the great new people that i meet. I go to church every Sunday and try my best to serve people in all capacities in life. Whether it is church or work I do my best to set the example for those around me that they may be inspired by what I'm doing and the choices that i have made. When the Savior, Jesus Christ, was on the Earth he shared his knowledge freely to those that would listen and served those around him constantly. I am trying to be like Jesus in all that I do and say and for this reason I want to be an example to everyone and do all that I can to inspire, uplift, and serve all the wonderful people that I come in contact with each and everyday.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I try and help people to strengthen their faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As missionaries we put normal life on hold so to speak and come out to share this wonderful message. The reason that we do it isn't because we have to, its because we desire all to hear of this great message! When we are accepted into someone's home we talk about how our message can bring them closer to Jesus Chirst, and answer any questions that you may have to the best of our ability. We know that we have been called of God to share this precious gift that we have come to know is true. Missionaries will never force or pressure you into believeing in our doctrine but do love our message and want all to hear it. So if missionaries ever knock on your door take a second to talk to them and you may find that what we believe isn't so different from what your own ideas are. Show more Show less
