Hi I'm Alex

I'm from the little town of Spring City in Utah. I am 19 years old and about to leave on my mission to Houston Texas.

About Me

I'm a born and raised small-town girl, living most of my life in Utah and a couple years in Nevada. I just graduated with an Associate of Science degree in May, and as of right now the plan is to continue studying to be a physician's assistant when I return home from my mission. All my life I have enjoyed playing sports. My favorite ones are basketball, softball, and volleyball. Outdoor activities have always interested me as well, such as hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc. Other hobbies that I enjoy are drawing, reading, and writing. I am always looking for new books to read and I hope one day to write a novel I want to develop many new talents and skills, and as of right now I am learning how to play the guitar. I love spending time with my family and friends, for they are some of the most important people in my life, and I can always count on them to have a good time. I love life and the people I am blessed enough to share it with, and am simply working on trying to find my place in this world.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have grown up with the gospel's influence. Aside from many of my family members and friends being members, I live in a small community in Utah where even those who aren't members know about the gospel. It is around me in almost every aspect of my life. That, however, is not the reason I believe that the Church is true, and have chosen to be a member. It is not the reason why I make decisions each and every day that follow the teachings of the gospel, or will be serving a mission very soon. The reason why I do all of these things is because I know that it is the only true church. I have seen the many different ways it blesses my life and those around me. I LOVE this church; and that love motivates me to do everything that I do. It provides truth, peace, and joy that can be gained from no other source, focusing on the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I don't have a grand conversion story, no major life-changing event that made me decide to be a follower of Christ. I simply am because I know it is true, I love it, and am so very grateful I have it in my life. I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it.

How I live my faith

Service is the biggest way in which I try to live my faith. Service work is a big part of the the Church, and really just life in general. The callings and experiences I have had throughout the years remind me of this fact, and help to increase my love of the gospel. I have served in in various positions where it was necessary to act as a leader and make decisions regarding others that would serve them in the best way possible, always with the guidance of the Spirit. I have helped to organize and participate in many different service projects that reach out to individuals and my community as a whole, and strengthen my faith and testimony. While large projects and callings are definitely important and can have a large impact, I try to remember that even the littlest acts of service such as smiling or simply saying "hello" can help people more than we realize. By helping others and serving them in any way possible, my love and appreciation for the gospel grows and my faith in increased in every way.
