Hi I'm Steven

I have a passion for basketball and I love my family! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I graduated from Davis High School with high honors. I am the oldest of five children and am a part-time elementary school janitor. I enjoy playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball. I have been called to serve in the Washington Federal Way Mission and look forward to serving the people of Washington State.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been blessed to be born in a gospel centered family. For a long time however, I went through the motions. I knew all the basic answers but I didn't apply them to my life. It wasn't until I had a conversation with my dad one day that I realized what was happening to me. It made me put my life into perspective. I saw the direction that my life was headed towards. I quickly gained a desire to change and to apply the basic principles of the gospel into my life. I began to diligently study the scriptures and say my prayers. I saw a huge difference in my attitude on life and towards the gospel. I'm a Mormon because I have seen the blessings that come as a result of trying to live a Christ-like life. I've felt the spirit bear testimony that Jesus is the Christ and that this is His restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the scriptures and praying daily. This has become a joy to me. I am currently studying Preach My Gospel, and I am learning something new everyday. I am also enrolled in a missionary preparation class and temple preparation class. Although it can be challenging to wake up in the morning to attend, I always feel good inside every time I choose to go.
