Hi I'm Jacob Gardner

I am a music enthusiast. I am a university student. I was born and raised in the United States. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am one of those people who goes running in the middle of the desert with a water pack. I love to run, and I also love to do any physical activity....even though i'm not very good at many sports! As a hobby, I play the guitar and enjoy a wide variety of music, from classical to rock. But above all, I enjoy spending time with my family and studying the scripures. The gospel of Jesus Christ is my strength in life, and I wish everyone had it in theirs.

Why I am a Mormon

The LDS church is completely based upon charity, the pure love of Christ. In the Book of Mormon, Moroni 7:47 says: "But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him." To me, this means so much. I have always believed that love changes lives. Some people say that the LDS church is too much work or that they don't need a church. I know, however, that everyone needs this church, and it has blessed my life in many ways. You must come and see for yourself if this Church is something you want in your life! Give it a chance! Another reason why I have decided to join this church is the spirit I have felt as I have studied the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. God has told me it is full of truth through his spirit. The Book of Mormon provides some missing pieces in Christ's teachings that the world does not have. It is simple truth, real power, and divine revelation. Yes, Joseph Smith did receive revelation from God, and he was called as a prophet. What a great blessing this is!

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I do everything I can to become like Jesus Christ. That means there is a lot to do! I am not like Him just yet, but I believe that "by small and simple means, great things are brought to pass" (Alma 37:6, in the Book of Mormon). From June 2014 until June 2016, I served as a full-time missionary for two years in a proselyting mission to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ in Santa Ana, California. I taught in Spanish. I was never alone in that journey, and I continue to feel that I am being guided in what I do.
