Hi I'm Braeden Davies

I play volleyball and ran cross country. I love movies. I am currently serving in the Brazil Sao Paulo West Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play pretty much any sport, I'm also bit of a nerd also haha I'm into Star Wars, Doctor Who, Sherlock, stuff like that. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. First is Rachael who is 21, then me at 18, then Tate who's 14, Maverik is 12 and Abigale who's 8. They can drive me crazy but I them all. I just graduated from Palm Beach Central High School and have been called to serve a 2 year mission in the Brazil Sao Paulo West mission for the church.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents were born into the church, I was born into the church, so that may be why I joined this church at baptism, but it is not why I have stayed. You can only go along with what everyone else says is true for so long; eventually you have to form your own beliefs. A testament to my faith in this church is that I live in an area where the membership is not particularly widespread. I was one of a small number of "Mormons" at my high school and I rarely if ever had another member in classes with me. Being a member wasn't necessarily a popular thing to do- the church has high standards regarding alcohol, drugs, and chastity so naturally that took away my invitation to most parties. That didn't even bother me. I told who asked what I believed and it made me feel great. Being a member of this church may not always be popular, but I can tell you after intensive study and prayer, I can tell you that I KNOW this church is true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend church services at least once a week, I graduated from seminary-(essentially scripture school, it was held everyday before school at 6:00 am! :0), I read the scriptures daily focusing on strengthening my faith and testimony of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. I work on my relationships with family, friends and most importantly my relationship with God. I believe that we should all strive to develop a personal connection with our Father in Heaven and see Him as the loving Father he is. I do this by praying 1-2 times a day personally and before I study the scriptures I also pray to invite the Holy Spirit.
