Hi I'm Janet

I have been married 30 years to a great guy and have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. I love life!

About Me

I am 52 years old and have been married for 30 years. I was a stay at home mom of 4 children. I now have 5 grandchildren. My biggest joy is when we can all be together as a family, which is hard to do as we live all over the United States. I went to college in Cosmetology which I enjoyed for years. I now am a secretary at an elementary school. I love being with the children and helping them every day. I also love to arrange flowers, bake bread and read good books, I love this beautiful world and especially the mountains. Being in nature brings me peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a home where we were taught the gospel. We went to church as a family every week and my parents were wonderful examples to me growing up. I remember as a young girl feeling good inside when we talked about the gospel. I didn't know at the time that this was the Holy Ghost confirming to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I never questioned that wonderful feeling and feel very blessed to be a part of His church. I and so grateful for my Savior and all that he does for me. I am grateful for His atoning sacrifice, so that we can repent and one day return back to our Heavenly Father and be with our families forever. I love the Temple and the peace it brings me. I am grateful for a living prophet to lead and guide us in our lives. I am grateful for the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, as I have felt the spirit so strong as I read it. It also directs me in my life. The Lord has blessed me and my family and I will always try to follow His ways.

How I live my faith

Going to church every week uplifts me! I love seeing people I know and love. I enjoy teaching the women of our church the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have also taught many youth and children. Serving others is what the gospel is all about. We also visit and teach each other in our homes, take meals into a family where there is illness, and help each other with anything else that may be needed. We have a neighborhood cleanup every spring. Neighbors helping others who are physically unable to do yard work. This helps make us closer as a community.
