Hi I'm Codie

I love running, reading, and learning. I have a unique story. I am Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it!

About Me

I am a single adult. I love my life in Idaho. I have graduated high school, and I am currently attending college. I have a wonderful Mom, Sister and Step Dad. I love to go running, read books, listen to music and learn anything interesting. Whether it's history, art, or just science I love to learn. I love photography and I take pictures on my free time. Most importantly I love to find ways to grow my testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

While waiting, I learned to see both sides of being a member and the non-member side. It allowed me to see things and appreciate the gospel so much more. It was hard to wait. I would always ask the questions such as, "Why me?" "What did I do wrong?" I had some of the most valuable things taken from me. I was not allowed to be baptized, I was not allowed to take seminary (a release class provided in high school that allows LDS high school students to go off campus or early in the morning, if they want to, to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. You don't get credit for it.), and some other things. It broke my heart. I couldn't go to the temple with the youth (when I did I would sit in the lobby), and couldn't take seminary, I loved seminary, it helped me gain such a big testimony. Waiting allowed my testimony to grow and gain the knowledge for myself to know that this is the Lord's true church. In the end I was blessed in so many ways. I had friends that supported me, even non-member friends supported me, seminary teachers, leaders, and my wonderful family. I was able to complete three years of seminary make up work in 5 months and graduated seminary with all four years completed (I was able to take seminary my senior year because I was 18.), I was able to finally be baptized. I am a Mormon. This is the Lord's true church he as restored to this world.

How I live my faith

I am a "covert" to the church. I put quotations around convert because, my conversion is different than most. I grew up in the church, but do to some family circumstances on my biological father's side of the family I had to wait until I was 18 to be baptized. It was such a long wait. 10 years of waiting was very difficult but it brought me so much joy in the end. I now am able to enjoy all the blessings of being a member since I am now baptized. It is such a joy to know I can live my life to the fullest with the help of my Heavenly Father and His church.
