Hi I'm Casey Peterson

I was born in Washington but have grown up in Utah. During high school I played basketball and baseball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

During high school I was on the basketball and baseball teams. I also enjoy doing several other things such as fishing, hunting, golfing, and just about anything to do with the outdoors. After I serve my mission I am planning on going to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed throughout my life by this gospel. I was born into a LDS family and have been around the gospel my whole life. I continue to follow and be apart of this church because it brings joy and blesses my life in several different ways. I love learning about the history of the church and the prophets that helped restore this gospel to the earth. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and did translate The Book of Mormon and this book is to help and guide us in these latter days. I'm grateful for a living prophet in Thomas S. Monson and I know that he receives revelation from God and he guides us. I know that we need to heed his warnings and follow his teachings. I'm grateful for Christ's atonement. I know that the repentance process is real and it works. I've seen it done in my life as well as others around me. I know that through this gospel we are able to live with God again someday because of the plan of salvation. I am thankful for all the blessings that I receive because of this gospel.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have been very involved with activities in my ward. I have been on several high adventure camps, been on several hometeaching assignments, completed several service projects, and have had the opportunity to take the sacrament to elderly people in my ward. I try to live my faith by being a good example to those around me. I strive to do what is right and take responsibility for whatever I am called to do.
