Hi I'm Linda Grant

"I grew up in both Finland and Sweden. I love singing. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I'm Linda and I'm a sister. My family is very important to me and I feel that being a sister is a privilege. I also love music, especially singing. Singing brings me joy and through singing, I feel that I can express myself. I've graduated form high school and my favorite subject in school was chemistry. I've also danced ballet for many years, and I love dancing. There are also many other things that makes me happy. For example, being with friends, taking a walk in the nature, good food and sunshine brings me happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family, but that is not the reason why I'm a member of the church right now. I think we all have a period in our lives when we ask ourselves, why we do things and what the purpose with life is. When I was little I always knew that God lived and that He loved me. It was obvious to me and I didn't question it at all. When I grew a little older I wasn't sure anymore if God actually existed and it started to bother me. That was the time when I started to seek after my own answers. I started praying and asking God if He really was there and I also started to read the Bible and The Book of Mormon. Little by little God answered my prayers. My answers to my prayers didn't come all at once, but they came more as a sunrise. I gained a little more light, or knowledge every time I was ready for more. I came to know that God existed and, that He loved me. I also came to know that Jesus Christ was my Savior and that through Him I am able to return back to my Heavenly Father. I came to know that The Book Of Mormon is true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. Every time I acted on the things I felt I should do, I could know by the fruits of my actions, if it was right. Every time I feel peace in my heart and I feel good, I can know that it is from God, because God is love and everything that is good comes from God. I've learned that it so important that we act and see if it is good and if it is good we can know it is from God and then, it is true. I know that God answers our prayers. I also know that He will give me more knowledge every time I'm ready for more. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He loves us so much, that we can't even understand His love for us. I know that we are here on earth, so that we can learn. And I'm a Mormon because I've felt the love of God and I've felt the good influence of God in my life.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of my everyday life. I participate in youth activities and go to church every Sunday with my family. I'm also the music leader for the children in church. Together with the children we learn about the gospel and the love of God through singing. My faith is not just going to church every Sunday. It is also living it. I strive to live the commandments, that God has given us as good as possible every day, so that my faith and my life wouldn't just be two separate things, but they could be more like one.
