Hi I'm Hope

I grew up in Las Vegas. I'm a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a new mom who is lucky enough to stay home with my little boy. I'm a news junky and I love to read. I'm learning to cook (and I still have a long way to go). I'm a total dork for Peruvian culture and food, but my favorite place in the world is Boston, Massachusetts.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because living the teachings of Jesus Christ has brought me more happiness than I ever thought possible. Sure my life has it's ups and downs just like any one's, but thanks to the gospel I can more fully enjoy the ups and patiently endure the not so ups. I grew up in the LDS church, but like all members I had to learn for myself that this is the church of Jesus Christ himself. I know that this is His church and He leads it today. There is beauty in the teachings of the church, but more than anything, there is beauty in the lives of those who follow these teachings. I know this because I have seen and more than that, because I live it every day.

How I live my faith

I work with the young women in my ward, helping them with a program we call personal progress. Personal progress is a collection of goals and experiences that girls 12 - 18 years old can choose to pursue in various aspects of their life from their faith to increasing knowledge to understanding their individual worth. I help them set and move forward in their goals as well as recognize the work they've done.
