Hi I'm McKale Simpson

I love volleyball, photography, laughter, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an 18 year old student at Brigham Young University, studying Photography and having an amazing time. I love life and all it has to offer! I have a passion for sports, but particularly volleyball as I have grown up playing it. I almost always have my camera slung around my neck, looking for the opportunity to take a new and novel photo. I was born and raised in a small town which fostered a lot of creativity in me. Going on adventures is on of my absolute favorite things to do, whether it's an outdoor adventure, or meeting new people. I have an amazing family and they truly are my best friends as they support me in all I do, including my father as he is not a member of the Church. I have been called as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve in the Bakersfield, California mission speaking the Spanish language. I cannot wait to begin my service as a representative of the Lord! I love to laugh and I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me such joy. I was born to a nonmember father and a member mother who both support me whole-heartedly in my decision to voluntarily serve a full-time mission in California. I have a testimony of our Savior, who not only died so that we might be saved, but he lived and he continues to live for us! I know that through his grace we have every opportunity to return to him and live happily into the eternities. I have an assurance that we have a prophet who leads and guides us through modern revelation he receives from our Lord. I know the Book of Mormon is the most correct book; we truly can know all things because of it. I have a testimony of temples and the work that is done therein. I know Joseph Smith translated the golden plates correctly and because of him, the true Church has been restored on the earth in the latter days. How grateful I am for my testimony. How grateful I am for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. How grateful I am for our Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith openly as I love to discuss the Gospel and the joy it brings. I have been called to be an instructor in my Young Single Adults ward. Although I am extremely nervous to begin teaching principles of the Gospel, I know it will be an incredible opportunity to practice being a missionary. I have served as a Seminary President for my high school, service and youth committee member, as well as a visiting teacher. I love being given the chance to do my part and help as much as possible because the Church is an amazing organization to be a part of. I feel the best way to live my faith is to live it openly and be a true example to others. As I do this I hope they will see the happiness the Gospel brings and will want to be a part of it with me.
