Hi I'm Geraldine

I grew up in California, moved to Utah to raise my family, and work in a family business, I have diabetes, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a friend, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a mom to 4 wonderful kids, a grandma to 10, and a diabetic, who loves to travel with my husband, read, knit, especially with my knitting friends, sing, and spend time with friends and family. My extended family has been in business together for many years, and we love working together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is within the church that I find faith, hope, and the happiness of knowing that I am a daughter of a loving God, who knows me and cares about me. I am a Mormon because it teaches me that I can return to live with my Father in Heaven, and I can be there with Him and my family forever. I am not a perfect Mormon but I also know that through the atonement of Christ I can be forgiven and improve myself day by day until I truly become like Him. I have tried living outside the church that I was born into and did not find happiness on that path. When I came back to the church I found the answers to all my questions about why are we here, where are we going after this life, how we can live happy and useful lives, and how we can be true disciples of Christ. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a lifelong member of the Mormon church and have served in many different assignments over the years. My first calling was playing the piano for our church's children's organization as an 11 year old. From there I went on to serve in class presidencies, and on to being the president of several of our local organizations. I have been the president of our local ward's organization for children three separate times, and I adored working with the children. They are so sweet, and pure and have such simple faith in the Savior. I also worked with the teenage girls for several years, organizing their summer camps, and serving as president of that organization. I loved working with those girls. I was so amazed at their courage to serve the Lord and live by their standards even when they were pressured to "party" and break rules and even made fun of for staying true to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now I am serving as the president of our local unit of the largest women's organization in the world. I love this assignment because I get to work with the most amazing women! We take care of each other, help with meals for the sick, help with moves, tend children, make quilts, donate to the local NICU, teach classes to each other on topics from gardening to family history research. It's wonderful and I hope I can continue working with these awesome ladies for the rest of my life.
