Hi I'm Luti

I was born in Hawaii and grew up in Salt Lake. I played many sports, but I still love many things like choir and school!

About Me

I loved sports growing up!!! I played football, I wrestled, I played lacrosse, ran track and field, and love playing rugby and basketball! I love my friends and family; they are the reason I am who I am today and have kept me close to my Savior. I love singing, especially with my many cousins. I love being happy and consistently try to choose to be happy each day by focusing on all the blessings I receive. I come from an awesome family! I have three brothers and the youngest sibling is a girl, so she's twice as spoiled, but still she is my favorite sibling. I've always looked up to my dad's example of hard work, but I'll always be a Mama's Boy. I'm an eagle scout and have always enjoyed camping and going on adventures and spontaneous outdoor activities with "the boys."

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel. In my life, I am so blessed to be part of this Gospel. It has blessed my family and has helped us through many trials in our path. I love all the blessings of being part of this Gospel, but the one reason I am a Mormon is because I love Christ. Jesus Christ is my Savior, brother, redeemer, and friend. In the Book of Mormon, Helaman 5:12 is a verse that proves true to me EVERY SINGLE TIME I put it to the test. On my mission, that is the message I am here to share. I'm here to invite others to come unto Him. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Gospel. In Him my faith is built. For my mission, I was supposed to leave to September 18th, 2013. The Thursday before I was supposed to leave, I tore my ACL and meniscus coaching football. It was terrible as I knew it was going to delay my call. I was absolutely devastated. The worst part was being "alone" and stuck with no friends because my best friends were out serving their missions. It was hard and very straining to me as I sat at home recovering feeling like I had no support. Over the past many months while recovering it truly was a trial in my life. It was at this time that I took the advice from Helaman and depended on Christ even more than ever. The promise that you cannot fall is SO true. I love my Savior. I KNOW He lives and I know He's here for me and you and everyone. He died for me and you and provides a way for us to live again with our families for eternity. There are many other memorable experiences I have had that have built my testimony, but Christ is the main reason. Christ is the reason. Faith is the power. Love is the Key.

How I live my faith

I love my Savior. He's my example and I strive consistently to be like Him. Currently, I am serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Oaxaca Mexico. I prepare each day to better myself with patience and trying to have charity for everyone around me. I love being a missionary and serving my Heavenly Father and spreading his word around to people who need His Hand in their life. As a missionary, I put aside my life in the world. School, family life, friends, technology, and work is post-poned as I strive to serve the people of Mexico with ONLY the Lord in mind. I love the opportunity I have before me to spread the good news of Christ with my brothers and sisters in Oaxaca, Mexico.
