Hi I'm Ron Metcalf

I live in St. George, Utah where I work as a funeral director . My wife and I have 4 children & 6 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I enjoying flying but don't get to go up as often as I would like. I also run and have finished several marathons, although I am pretty slow. My family enjoys boating at Lake Powell or anything we can do together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) because I have studied the principles and teaching of the church. I have read the Book of Mormon, another testament of Christ and sincerely asked in prayer if it is true and was given an overwhelming confirmation of it's divinity. The Mormon church is centered on Jesus Christ. It is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ after the manner of Christ's Church when He was on the earth. Formed with a Latter-day Prophet and with Apostles who provide inspired leadership to guide, direct and teach their members gospel principles. Although the Gospel has many facets and teachings, it is also very simple in the pure teachings of Christ. The Church has been restored through the power of God in these latter-days with the priesthood of God and all the ordinances necessary for our salvation. I know that families can be sealed together through God's priesthood and earn eternal life in addition to immortality which was freely given through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Anyone, even you can know of the truthfulness of the Mormon Church by studying and praying to our loving Father in Heaven for a confirmation. I invite and challenge you to find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I am fortunate to serve in my church, to visit others and to help where needed. I also very much appreciate serving with my neighbors and getting to know them better. We worship and learn together. Our church is a volunteer church and people are asked to help in many capacities through inspired leaders. Most everyone is involved is some way. I have the privilege of working with the youth and helping them learn and participate in fun and uplifting activities. Our youth are challenged more and more by an unsettled world that can cause great confusion. We help teach them to be strong in their convictions, to follow Jesus Christ and encourage them to make decisions the will bring them long term happiness.
